The working-adult pacing problem
FlexPath bills in flat 12-week sessions and allows up to two courses at a time, so the only lever you own is what occupies each slot and for how long. In a graduate program the two courses are near enough the same size. Here they are not, and that is the problem.
Work one case. A student opens a session with BUS FPX 2061 at 1.5 points in slot one and BUS FPX 3040 at 3 points in slot two. The half-size course clears in week four. Slot one is empty, and an empty slot costs what a full one costs, because the session price does not move. Eight weeks of paid capacity go nowhere. Know the next course before you submit the last assessment of the current one, so the slot refills the week it opens.
The second rule is submit-on-grade. Faculty have two business days to evaluate an attempt, and the next assessment waits on the grade. Those two days are dead time only when nothing else is in flight, so stagger submissions and keep one course always in the queue.
