The question "can I finish the BSN in one session" is really "can I empty the container before the 12 weeks run out."
That framing matters because it separates two things students tend to blur: the calendar (12 weeks) and the cost (one flat charge). You are not racing the clock to avoid a penalty. You are trying to clear the remaining courses before a second session bills, because a second session is the only thing that adds tuition.
The 12-week math, laid out
The Capella RN-to-BSN totals 90 program points in FlexPath, the equivalent of 180 quarter credits in GuidedPath, and it includes 40 practicum hours in the capstone. Working RNs rarely start from zero: an active license plus an associate degree usually transfers a large block, and the general education requirement can be filled at no cost through Sophia before you ever enroll. Treat the practicum as the real deadline of the session and plan the writing around it.
